Parental Inclusion and Curriculum

The latest parental inclusion and curriculum evening was a great success. The session which was titled "How to  help support your child's learning" was designed in responce to parents who had asked for help with how they could support their children better. The evning was divided into four parts. First a look at Key Stage 3 levels and then a explanation of GCSE grades. Afterwards several tips and ideas where given on how to help your child revise effectivly. The last part of the evening saw paprents been shown several practical revision ideas, been taught a short GCSE Sociology lesson and then been allowed to put the revision ideas into practice before been given a GCSE style assessment to test what they had learnt. With 34 parents in attendence as well as several pupils it is our intention to include this session in our yearly line up.
