Guinness World Record breaking reading event

On Monday 26th March 2012 3 classes of students took part in a Guinness World Record breaking reading event in their Integrated Curriculum lesson.

This was organised by "The Evening Standard" and has involved a number of schools across the country and the Harris Federation.

Students had to read the same extract from Michael Morpurgo's novel, "Born To Run" and then to complete a series of activities to check their understanding……and all between 10 and 10.30 am.

As always our Year 7 and 8 students rose to the challenge and performed exceptionally well.

They are our first ever Harris Academy Chafford Hundred record breakers.
