Welcome from the Executive Principal

Welcome to our website. I hope you find the information about our brand new Harris Academy useful. The governors, staff and I will be building on our previous strengths and making Harris Primary Academy Chafford Hundred an even better learning environment through being part of the Harris Federation.

We benefit from a modern, well equipped school with Interactive Whiteboards in each class. We have a brand new Nursery and a building project to accommodate our growth to three forms of entry will be completed for September.

In addition to our well qualified teaching staff, we have a fantastic team of support staff, including a Pupil and Parent Support Worker and a specialist Sports Coach.

Our children’s academic progress is regularly monitored to ensure they are all doing as well as they possibly can. The children also take part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including a five day residential visit for Year 6 pupils.

Parents are very involved in school life, through our PTA, through homework projects which are designed as an opportunity for children and parents to work together, Reading and Maths Volunteers and by supporting our charity fund-raising.

We hold a number of open sessions for prospective parents during the year; please contact the school office for details. I look forward to meeting you at one of these.
