It’s Day 4 of awareness week. Miss Moore has baked a vegan Victoria sponge for her mum. Miss Jones, brownies for her elderly neighbours Brenda & Reg. made a traditional dessert from Santander called Quesada 🇪🇸. What will you make?

Our Staff have been overwhelmed with messages of thanks, it is very much appreciated. We miss our students very much and cannot wait to see them in person when the time comes.


It’s Day 3 of awareness week. Due to Covid, Miss Yeldham was unable to run the Costa Rica fundraising event and therefore donated the Easter Eggs for the event to the staff at Basildon Hospital.

Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) Support - SLEs will work with middle and/or senior leaders to undertake the following:

• Carry out diagnostic visits

• Develop action plans, identifying key priorities and SMART targets

• Provide one-to-one or group support

• Offer coaching and mentoring support

• Provide access to resources and training

The ultimate aim of SLEs will always be to contribute significantly to improving the outcomes for children through developing the capacity of peer leaders in other schools.

Who are our facilitators?

Our SLEs (Specialist Leaders of Education) are outstanding senior leaders who have the skills to support individuals or teams. They understand what outstanding practice in their area of expertise looks like and are skilled in helping other leaders to achieve it in their own context.

Our Credentials

Harris Academy Chafford Hundred has achieved 5 A*-C including Maths and English results between 84% and 94% over the last five years. This has placed the Academy in the top 1% in the country for pupil progress.

Our Academy has real strength in English and Maths where teaching and learning, especially assessment for learning, is very strong.  Our Progress 8 figures are a direct result of the expertise of our SLEs:

  • Maths P8 figure = + 0.5
  • English P8 figure = +0.42
