Developing Effective & Confident Leaders

We are delighted to be able to offer a leadership programme aimed at talented professionals who would like to develop their skill-set to become more effective and resilient leaders.

The programme includes 5 sessions in which we will explore the following themes:

Authentic Leadership

What kind of leaders are you?

Are you trying to imitate others or are you authentic?

Authentic leadership explores the approach to leadership that emphasises building the leader's legitimacy through honest relationships with colleagues.

Session 2

10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Saturday 16th March

An Introduction to using a Psychometric Framework to enhance your Coaching

  • Why is it easy to get the best from some team members and not others?
  • How can you delegate more effectively to deliver the outcomes you need?

In this introductory session, you will learn what is likely to underpin the behaviour of others and how to best adapt your own behaviours to get the best from every team member.

You will have the opportunity to undertake your own Personal Profile Analysis (using DISC) ahead of the session.

Session 3

Saturday 30th March

Understanding Power and Politics 

  • Develop your understanding of the practicalities of power in both organisational and interpersonal contexts
  • Identify both formal and informal power dynamics
  • Recognise the impact of political tactics
  • Learn and apply a practical 3 step framework for developing your assertiveness to Increase your influence
  • Enhance your leadership effectiveness

In this session we will explore these often overlooked concepts and consider the leadership implications of working with power and politics, in keeping with your own values.

Session 4

10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Thursday 4th April

 

Managing your personal Well-Being and Energy

  • What are the biggest causes of stress and poor wellbeing and how can you better manage these personally?
  • Understand the four quadrants of energy and how to use them to energise your performance every day.
  • Using these to support other members of your team.

Session 5

10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Friday 10th May

Presenting Ourselves Positively: Successful Applications and Interviews

  • Identify ways to present yourself and your abilities with confidence and clarity
  • Describe your achievements and strengths on paper and in person
  • Know how to prepare confidently for interviews
  • Practice the skills of performing well at interview
  • Create impact and grow your confidence

In this session you will explore and practice the skills of effective and confident self-presentation.

All sessions will be held at Harris Chafford Hundred Academy from 10:00 until 2:30 pm

The cost of the programme is £85 per session or £325 for the 5 sessions

This leadership opportunity will make you more effective and resilient in your current position and also prepare and support you in making the leap to your next leadership role
