    The Power of Coaching

We are delighted to offer a 3 day coaching programme facilitated by a qualified executive coach and teacher who will provide you with an understanding of what coaching is and when it is appropriate to use it as a technique.

    Why coaching?

Using a coaching approach can give you the power to really create transformational change in others but still ensuring accountability with progress. People want to be heard, to feel they have been listened to without judgement and criticism but still be able to be challenged to progress.

    Who is it for?

This course is suitable for senior leaders, middle leaders, lead practitioners and classroom teachers.

    What is the content?

As part of the course, we will look at how to create and develop the trust and rapport needed for excellent coaching and how to listen for meaning. Contracting will be considered as the foundation of a solid coaching relationship.

The GROW model will be covered as a helpful coaching structure to facilitate our conversations in practice.

There will be many opportunities to practice coaching in a supportive environment and we will consider the most useful questions to support our conversations as well as the barriers and how to overcome them.

We will consider how coaching can be used to facilitate team meetings in order to create and drive vision and goals and how coaching can be used to provide feedback and development of staff.

Part of the programme will require participants to begin 2 coaching relationships to practice the techniques learned and there will be many opportunities to practice throughout the sessions.
