Wider reading develops you as an independent learner. It deepens your understanding of a subject and makes you more attractive to universities. As an A Level Student you should allocate some of your independent study time to wider reading; 15-45 minutes of sustained silent reading or active purposeful reading each day is an effective use of your independent study time and will build learning power.
We aim to shape individuals who will learn for themselves and learn for pleasure, engaging with one of these subject specific reading lists may be the first step.
