Lead Practitioner Programme
The Lead Practitioner Role is a professional development programme for the next generation of influential and outstanding teachers who have demonstrated a flair for innovation in their field.
The Harris Federation Lead Practitioner Programme offers those colleagues an opportunity to develop personally and drive forward outstanding practice across their whole school, making a significant impact on improving the quality of teaching and learning and outcomes for students.
As a result of the Lead Practitioner accreditation, schools will build leadership capacity for improvement, developing a culture of sharing best practice and collaboration which will motivate and utilise outstanding practitioners to become Leaders across the school.
Those colleagues selected for the programme will embark on an 18-month journey of enriched professional development led by experienced Lead Practitioners at Harris Academy Chafford Hundred. The programme is in three stages and includes a number of independent learning tasks to enable candidates to demonstrate evidence supporting your final assessment.
- Stage 1- Evaluating the Quality of Teaching
- Stage 2- The Power of Coaching
- Stage 3- Leadership for Improvement
Each stage will be supported by a one-day event at Harris Chafford Hundred, delivered by highly skilful and experienced staff. This is also an opportunity to network and collaborate with other Lead Practitioner Designates from other Harris academies.
Cost: £550 per participant.
