2018 Sixth Form Success

Harris Academy Chafford Hundred Students achieve excellent results once again at A Leveland BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma.
Students at Harris Academy Chafford Hundred are celebrating another year of excellent results. Progression has been very strong with four students going on to read medicine. Approximately 77% of the students graduating from the Sixth Form this year will go on to study at a range of universities, with over 30% of them securing places at the highly rated Russell Group universities.

Despite many changes to the curriculum A Level students achieved a 100% pass rate this year. 53% of grades received by Chafford Hundred students were B or above and 20% were the very top grades – A* and A.

There were a large number of notable individual successes, including:

In addition the new reformed Level 3 Extended Diploma saw the addition of externally assessed examinations and more rigorous and extensive content. Nevertheless, students achieved a 100% pass rate this year. 56% of grades received were Distinction/ Merit/ Merit (DMM) or above, the equivalent to ABB at A Level, and 16% were the very top grades of DDD, the equivalent to at least AAA at A Level.

Progression has been very strong with a number of students going on to read nursing, as well as midwifery, primary education and a range of business courses.

Nicky Graham, Executive Principal of Harris Academy Chafford Hundred, said:
