Students at Harris Academy Chafford Hundred Celebrate A Level and BTEC Success

Students at Harris Academy Chafford Hundred Celebrate

A Level and BTEC success.

Students at Harris Academy Chafford Hundred are celebrating another year of excellent results.

70% of students graduating from HACH sixth form will be going on to study at university, with many students choosing to study at prestigious Russell Group universities.

Across the sixth form there was a 100% pass rate with a 25%of grades awarded were at A*/A.

It’s important not to underestimate the impact of the pandemic on this group of students. The class of 2023 didn’t have the opportunity to sit external GCSE exams due to covid restrictions, meaning June 2023 was their first experience of sitting a national exam since the age of 11. We are incredibly proud of how our students approached their studiesdemonstrating maturity, tenacity, and grit. Their fantastic results are a testament as to how hard they have worked.

We are incredibly proud of Mia Jones who achieved A*, A*, B and will go on to study Psychology at Kings College London. Mia has worked incredibly hard during her time at Sixth Form, whilst faced with personal challenges. Mia demonstrated strength and determination to overcome these and will now go on to study her passion.

Despite facing difficult personal circumstances, we are also extremely proud of Passion Ugwa, who will now be attending a prestigious Russell Group university to study Child Nursing.

Congratulations are due to the whole year group, including:

• Maisie Hunt who achieved A*, A*, A* and will be going on to study Law at Birmingham University

• Prabhjot Kaloya who achieved A*, A*, A and will be studying accounting at Durham University.

• Callum Donnelly achieved A*, A, B and has secured an apprenticeship with Amazon

• Jai Dosanjh achieved A*, A, A and will study Accounting and Finance at Bristol University

• Amy Ekeh achieved A*, A*, A, B and will study Maths, Statistics, and Business at the London School of Economics

• Zoe Colom A* A* B and has secured a place to study Psychology at Royal Holloway.

• Amelie Edmonds – A* A* A C is attending Warwick to study English Literature.

• Lucas Gunning A* A* A who is attending Kings College London to study Geography

• Joe Herbert A* A* A B and will study Law at the University of Nottingham

• Michelle Opoku-Agyemang A* A* A and has secured a degree apprenticeship at Bloomberg

• Harry Wardell A* A* A and will study Law at the University of Nottingham

BTEC

Hiran Solanki – achieved Business Distinction*, Distinction*, Distinction* and is attending Royal Holloway to study accounting and Finance

Antonia D – achieved Business Distinction*, Distinction*, Distinction and is attending Aston University to study Finance

Renae Kessie – achieved Health and Social care Distinction*, Distinction*, Distinction* and will attend Kings College to study Midwifery

“Seeing the joy of our students and their families as they get their results is always gratifying and amazing. The whole year group has done brilliantly, and I am certain they will have happy, successful and fulfilling futures.

“Many have beaten the odds to win places on the most competitive courses at university or have overcome personal challenges to get these grades. So their success tastes even sweeter. We cannot wait to see all the wonderful things they will go on to achieve at university and beyond.”

- Ben Keely, Principal.
