Welcome to the HACH Circle!

Transitioning from Primary to Secondary school is a significant milestone for students and their families. At HACH, we recognise the importance of this moment and work hard to make the journey as smooth and positive as possible.

What do we do?

We have strong links with our local primary schools, which means we gather valuable information about students before they join us. It also provides plenty of opportunities for Year 6 pupils to meet HACH staff ahead of transition.

Open Evening – Thursday 18th September 2025

Families are invited to visit our school, speak with our students about their HACH experience, tour the site, and meet our dedicated staff.

Transition Days

We offer three days of transition, giving students a real taste of life at HACH. They will experience:

• Assemblies

• The House System

• Their Mastery group

• A full timetable of subjects

• The expertise of HACH staff

• The support of our pastoral team

• Clubs and activities

First Day in September

When new Year 7 students join us, they spend their first day in school with no other year groups present in the main school. This tailored day allows them to:

• Meet their Mastery teacher

• Take part in team-building activities

• Explore the school through a treasure hunt, helping them feel confident before the rest of the school returns.

A Rolling Transition

We understand that transition doesn’t end on 4th September when the HACH Circle is fully back in motion. Our Head of Year and Pastoral team will continue to support students, monitoring both academic progress and personal development to ensure they are happy, confident, and thriving.

New for 2025: Year 7 HACH Disco

This year we are excited to host our very first Year 7 HACH Disco – an additional opportunity for students to socialise and celebrate.
