Sixth Form Offers

Harris Academy Chafford Hundred sixth formers get ready for their next steps

It’s been an exciting time at the academy over the past weeks as our sixth formers received their university and vocational study offers. We’re delighted to say that Harris Academy Chafford Hundred students have already received a number of excellent university and apprenticeship offers - including three offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge.

University subject offers so far include:

  • Medicine at Cambridge, King’s College London and Queen Mary
  • Mathematics at Cambridge, King’s College London and Queen Mary
  • Spanish and Portuguese at Oxford
  • Law at Newcastle, Cardiff and City University, Southampton, Nottingham and Warwick
  • Computer Science at King’s College London, Brunel, Nottingham and Southampton
  • History at UCL, Queen Mary, SOAS and King’s College London

A special mention goes to Daniel Simms, who has received his offer to study Mathematics at Cambridge at just 17 years of age. Daniel has been on an accelerated, tailor-made curriculum since Year 8, and will be leaving the academy with an impressive 6 A Levels.

Those who have applied for apprenticeship schemes in areas such as Criminal Law, Insurance and Financial Technology have been busy undertaking interviews with companies such as PwC, CPS, JP Morgan, AON, Credit Suisse and Deliotte.

Nicky Graham, Principal of Harris Academy Chafford Hundred, says:

“Our aim is to help prepare every student for whatever they choose to do next – whether they want to start their career or go on to further study. Our sixth formers have received these excellent offers due to their hard work and dedication to their studies and they should be extremely proud of themselves for gaining these much-coveted places.

We’re always extremely proud to see our sixth formers take the next steps and I wish them all the very best as they prepare for their final exams.”
